Amar Singh To Join Squawka As Chief Content Officer

Squawka, the London-based football digital media company, have announced the appointment of leading sports journalist Amar Singh as Chief Content Officer, effective from January 2016.

Singh, who will join the company from London Evening Standard where he was Digital Sports Editor, has extensive experience in the sports journalism world having also worked at the Sunday Times and as Managing Editor at Goal.com. He is considered a leading voice on the topics of race and equality in football and his views are frequently sought by media outlets across both television and print.

Singh will join the newly-formed executive team at Squawka alongside recent appointment Graeme Tottle (ex-BBC, Time Out, EMAP and Rightster) who joined as Chief Revenue Officer in October 2015, Chief Technology Officer Rodrigo Menegazzo (ex-Time Inc and Talk Talk), Chief Financial Officer Chris Cragg (ex-PWC) and co-founders Leo Harrison and Sanjit Atwal.

As Chief Content Officer, Singh will head up both the Editorial and Social divisions of Squawka which currently produces over 200 pieces of original content per day and recently reached 1.5 billion organic content views for 2015.
